SDNN West River Mini Summit Announced

The South Dakota Nonprofit Network is excited to host an in-person networking and educational session in Rapid City on Wednesday, April 12th. The event will be held at the Mt Rushmore Society (830 Main Street, Rapid City, SD 57701) and scheduled for 9 AM - 12 PM MT. We are excited to offer professional development opportunities, networking, and best practice sharing throughout this session. In addition to this, we will share more about who the South Dakota Nonprofit Network is and how we are working to connect, support, and elevate the nonprofit sector. This session is FREE for all (SDNN Members and Non-Members) nonprofit leaders, staff, board members, and stakeholders to attend! More info regarding the day will be coming soon!

SDNN at the Governor's Budget Address

SDNN Members are invited to join us on Tuesday, December 6th in Pierre for an opportunity to learn more about the legislative process and attend the Governor's Budget Address. The day will include programming centered around learning important insights into the legislative process and things we should be looking for in the Governor's Budget Address that will have an impact on the nonprofit sector. Here is the schedule of events for the day: 10:00 AM CT | Brunch Provided (Location TBD) 10:30 AM CT | Briefing from Julie Johnson, SDNN Registered Lobbyist 11:30 AM CT | Depart for the Capitol 12:00 PM CT | Arrive at the Capitol to get seats in the gallery 1:00 PM CT | Governor's Budget Address 2:30 PM CT (Or immediately following the address) | Debrief from Julie Johnson, SDNN Registered Lobbyist 

SDNN | 2023 Public Policy Platform Input

One of the pillars of SDNN is to provide a unified voice at the SD legislative session each year for the nonprofit sector of South Dakota. SDNN has a registered lobbyist in Pierre full-time throughout the legislative session to represent the best interests of nonprofits throughout the state. In preparation for this year’s session, we are planning several events and opportunities for you to learn more about the legislative process and make your voice heard. With that, SDNN has put together a draft of our 2023 Public Policy Platform included below. We want your input as to items we may have missed in crafting this document. Nonprofit Awards Presented at 2nd Annual South Dakota Nonprofit Network Conference

The South Dakota Nonprofit Network (SDNN) presented awards to two outstanding leaders from within the state at the 2nd Annual SDNN Conference on Thursday, July 28 on the campus of Dakota Wesleyan University. Each of the award recipients has had a tremendous impact on the nonprofit sector throughout the state and continue to do important work in this area. Click to read the entire press release.

SDNN Post-Legislative Session Debrief

Join us for a 2023 Post-Legislative Session presentation by Julie Johnson, Attorney and Registered Lobbyist for SDNN.

Julie will debrief our members on issues related to the nonprofit sector from the 2023 legislative session.

Join us for this presentation on Tuesday, April 4th from 12-1 PM CT via Zoom.

Marketing & Communications Monthly Roundtable

Join our monthly Marketing & Communications roundtable to connect with peers, learn from experts, gain insights and resources, and build community. This is a group specifically for nonprofit professionals working in marketing and communications, whether it’s in your job title or not.

These sessions will be held monthly on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 12-1 PM CT.

SDNN Nonprofit Leadership Roundtable

The South Dakota Nonprofit Network (SDNN) is hosting monthly Nonprofit Leadership Roundtable discussions on the 4th Thursday of each month from 12-1 PM CT via Zoom. Don't miss this opportunity to exchange information and ideas with nonprofit leaders from across the state, discuss the leadership challenges we all face, and learn how we can be better in our efforts. Register today for our Nonprofit Leadership Roundtable on Thursday, April 27th from 12-1 PM CT.
